Jerry West to leave Warriors for Clippers

West, whose advice and expertise have been a driving force behind the NBA's most loaded roster, is under contract with Golden State through July. West, 79, had a Hall of Fame career with the Lakers before thriving in the club's front office. News of West's departure comes eight days before the NBA draft, which he has been heavily involved in during his more than half-decade with Golden State.
