When I went to college in the mid 1980s one of my best friends was a basketball fanatic from Brooklyn, New York named Nick. Nick himself was a decent player and part of a group of us who would play pick-up and rec games nearly everyday. One day I asked Nick if he played basketball for his high school team and he told me no, he went to Xaverian High School. When he saw that meant nothing to me he said Chris Mullin played at Xaverian . "Do I look like I can play with Chris Mullin?" he said.
