The San Antonio Spurs, who currently hold the best record in the NBA and are six games ahead of my hometown Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference, lost on Wednesday night to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 112-115. As is well known by anyone who has followed the NBA this season, a Spurs' loss is a rare occurrence. One of the key factors to that loss, however, was the fact that the Spurs were without their starting power forward Tim Duncan, who fell victim to a sprained ankle on Monday night during a game against the Golden State Warriors.
