Warriors snap out of funk with win over Mavericks

Over the past nine days, as Golden State labored through its roughest four-game stretch of the season, many wondered: Could the Warriors snap out of their funk before next week's All-Star break? In its 121-103 win Thursday night over the Mavericks at Oracle Arena, Golden State hushed its doubters, pulling away in the fourth quarter for a much-appreciated rout. More than the result, the Warriors surely relished how they achieved it. They got back to their blueprint, pairing a movement-heavy offense with stingy defense. A Golden State team that had been among the league's most porous in recent weeks held the Mavericks to 43 percent shooting, including 9-for-37 from three-point range.
