Warriors’ Patrick McCaw to return from fractured wrist vs. Spurs

SAN ANTONIO — Warriors guard Patrick McCaw has officially been cleared to return Monday night against San Antonio from a fractured left wrist that sidelined him the past 13 games. It is big news for a depleted backcourt. With McCaw, Stephen Curry (tweaked right ankle) and Klay Thompson (fractured right thumb) sidelined, Golden State has only had three guards available: Quinn Cook, Shaun Livingston and Nick Young. "We need him badly," head coach Steve Kerr said. "We're excited to have him back." Before missing time, McCaw was struggling to build off a surprisingly productive rookie season. His three-point shooting percentage is 25, more than eight points below last season's clip.
