NEW ORLEANS — With 4:59 left in the Warriors' 119-100 loss Friday night to the Pelicans in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals, Stephen Curry plodded to the bench and took a seat. For the rest of the game, he sat, stone-faced, next to Kevin Durant as their less-heralded teammates sopped up garbage minutes. It was an unfamiliar scene for the two perennial All-Stars: In a game with plenty of stakes, they were on the wrong end of a rout. That Curry — the franchise cornerstone whose return from a knee injury was celebrated earlier this week — was a big part of the problem only made Friday's shellacking more startling.
