HOUSTON — For one of the few times in the Steve Kerr era, the Warriors are on the brink of playoff elimination. In a game that featured 16 lead changes — and a critical turnover by Draymond Green with seconds remaining — Golden State let an inspired defensive performance go to waste in a pivotal Game 5 loss to the Rockets, 98-94. The Warriors trail the Western Conference finals 3-2, and now have 48 hours to prepare for Game 6 in Oakland, when they'll try to keep their season alive and force a Game 7 in Houston. With 1:21 left in the game, Eric Gordon hit a 27-footer to give the Rockets a 95-91 lead.
