HOUSTON — After the Warriors' Game 5 loss Thursday night to the Rockets, Quinn Cook — a reserve guard who spent much of the season in the G League — was trending on Twitter. Minutes earlier, with Golden State trailing by one and 42.7 seconds left, Cook — wide open beyond the arc — caught a pass from Draymond Green, took one dribble, set his feet and hoisted a three-point attempt. The shot clanged hard off the rim and landed in the hands of Houston forward Trevor Ariza. The Warriors didn't score the rest of the way, falling to the Rockets, 98-94. In the immediate aftermath, many took to social media, speculating about why head coach Steve Kerr would play Cook in crunch time of a pivotal postseason game.
