Kevin Durant to sign ‘one-plus-one’ deal with Warriors

Warriors forward Kevin Durant enters free agency in enviable territory: After winning his second straight NBA Finals MVP award, he can dictate the terms of his next deal with Golden State. Hours before the official start of free agency Saturday, The Chronicle confirmed that Durant intends to sign a two-year maximum contract with the Warriors. The second year will have a player option The New York Times was first to report Durant's decision. Durant, who opted out of his contract Friday to become an unrestricted free agent, had repeatedly voiced his intention to re-sign with the Warriors. And there was little doubt that he was in line for a maximum contract.
