Warriors to meet with free-agent guard Tyreke Evans

SACRAMENTO — The Warriors are meeting with free-agent guard Tyreke Evans in Los Angeles on Monday, according to Evans' brother. In an interview with ESPN radio's Memphis affiliate, 92.9 FM, Doc Evans said that Tyreke has meetings scheduled Monday with Golden State, the Lakers and Hornets. Though Charlotte can probably offer Evans more money and playing time, the Warriors and Lakers give him the chance to chase a championship. Evans, 28, has only reached the playoffs once in his nine NBA seasons and has yet to make it out of the first round. At 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, Evans is a versatile wing capable of playing point guard, shooting guard or small forward.
