Free-agent center Kevon Looney has agreed to re-sign with the Warriors on a one-year, minimum deal, league sources have confirmed with The Chronicle. ESPN was first to report the news. Looney's return is the latest feel-good development in what has been a remarkably successful free-agency period for Golden State. In addition to Looney coming back, Kevin Durant agreed to a "one-plus-one" deal, and four-time All Star DeMarcus Cousins agreed to a one-year, $5.3 million contract. At 22 with an ability to guard all five positions, Looney is the type of young, small-ball center prized in the modern NBA.
