Warriors’ No. 1 goal this season: Enjoy the journey

During his first three seasons as the Warriors' head coach, Steve Kerr was a master at messaging. Seldom did his instincts about what to tell his players — or not tell them — lead his team astray. However, last season was a lesson in frustration. For months, Kerr reminded his players about the challenge in front of them, only for Golden State to toil through lapses in focus and urgency. It wasn't until the NBA Finals that the Warriors finally started to play up to their potential. With that in mind, Kerr is peddling the opposite narrative in training camp that he pushed last year. His goal for Golden State is simple.
