Kevin Durant’s 51-point night isn’t enough as Warriors fall to Raptors in OT
TORONTO — As Kevin Durant walked toward the tunnel at halftime Thursday night, the rapper Drake briefly followed Durant down the sideline, and with a smile, jawed with his friend. Drake — a Toronto native and the Raptors' global ambassador — got the bragging rights this time. Despite another dazzling performance from Durant, the Warriors fell 131-128 in overtime to Toronto at Scotiabank Arena. With Stephen Curry (strained left groined), Draymond Green (sprained right toe) and Alfonzo McKinnie (sore right foot) still sidelined by injuries, Golden State came back from an 18-point deficit, only to miss critical shots when it mattered most.
