Cousins, long pilloried for his behavioral malfeasance, was caught up in a case of misunderstood intentions in the Warriors' 121-110 win over the Hornets when he snagged a technical for tossing a shoe into the crowd. Cousins was patrolling the paint during a routine half-court defensive possession late in the fourth quarter when he spotted a shoe just outside the key. He bent down, tossed the shoe, and heard the whistle.
