Will they or won't they? That's been a question ever since the Golden State Warriors hoisted the Larry O'Brien championship trophy in June. Will one of the most politically aware and outspoken sports teams in recent history bow to tradition and make a post-championship visit to the White House? Or will the Warriors — many of whom have been publicly critical of President Trump — shun such a photo op? And will they even get invited? The stick-to-sports crowd won't like it, but the Warriors have never been a stick-to-sports team, speaking out on issues and reaching out to the community.
