Now they face some difficult decisions to get their dynasty hopes back on track. The back-to-back championship dream is over for Denver Nuggets players, fans, and coaches. But for their general manager, going back-to-back was never the biggest priority. "I just want dudes that we try to develop, and it's sustainable," Nuggets GM Calvin Booth told me last August. "If it costs us the chance to win a championship this year, so be it. It's worth the investment. It's more about winning three out of six, three out of seven, four out of eight than it is about trying to go back-to-back."
