NEW ORLEANS — The Warriors are set to debut their Nike Classic Edition uniforms Friday night against the Pelicans at Smoothie King Center, the team announced Thursday afternoon. Aspects of the alternative uniform are reminiscent of the uniforms Golden State wore from the 1983-84 season through the 1987-88 season. It has a white base color, with a font and logo like the jersey Sleepy Floyd wore on May 10, 1987, when he scored 51 points — including NBA postseason records for points in a half (39) and points in a quarter (29) — against the Lakers. The Warriors will wear the Classic Edition uniforms 13 times this season, mostly on Fridays.
