Warriors show their dominance in rout of 76ers
The 76ers, like many NBA teams, hope to follow the Warriors' blueprint: strike gold in the draft, bolster the roster with the occasional offseason acquisition and, ultimately, win championships. In its 135-114 rout of Philadelphia on Saturday night at Oracle Arena, Golden State showed its visitors what it takes to join the league's elite. The Warriors, led by Kevin Durant (29 points), Klay Thompson (23 points) and Stephen Curry (22 points, nine assists), pulled away from the 76ers in the third quarter to cruise to their sixth straight win. Golden State shot 58.5 percent from the field, including 14-for-27 from three-point range, to weather 23 turnovers.
